Love pancakes, but don’t want your gut to blow up? Here are my favourite protein pancakes, that are also good for your gut! They’re pretty delicious, as confirmed by many of my clients over the years.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 eggs
- 40gms Flax/Hemp/Chia Meal (from Coles)
- 50gm (half) banana
- 1/3 cup water
- 15gm any whey protein powder
- A little bit of baking powder
- 1tsp stevia/natvia if you like things sweet
- Pinch of salt and cinnamon
METHOD
Blend all together in a nutribullet, blender, or a hand-held blender.
Add to pan, cook for about 2 minutes on medium heat.
Flip, cook the other side for 1-2 minutes (you can tell when they’re done).
VOILA!
They are high in protein, high in omega-3, and gentle on your gut. Also super soft in texture!
Note the FHC meal can be thick, so you need to pour the mixture onto the pan pretty quickly after blending it.

In the video I forgot the water, so if you follow that, then note this down.
FHC meal also be substituted for buckwheat flour, or 1/2 and 1/2. I personally love these ones though as they’re so soft to eat.
I like to pair with coconut yoghurt and berries, and a little sugar-free maple syrup
So those are my favourite protein pancakes, good for you gut and taste delicious.
